Wichita Rutherford's 100% KY Super Bluegrass Seeds
I couldn't believe how fast the first batch of these specially processed Super Bluegrass Seeds sold out. Then pictures of people planting them in places maybe they shouldn't be planting them started to trickle in. For example I got a picture of a fella in Los Angeles planting them in the indoor planters at the Berverly Center mall. Then I got one from 2 guys in North Carolina planting some in their roommate's houseplants.
I got a video of somebody planting them in their neighbor's yard so when springtime comes they'll be Bluegrassers whether they know it or not. Of course there are the photos of people growing Bluegrass in coffee mugs, shoes, a Coke can and one kid actually started growing them on a damp paper towel. I don't know how long this batch will last, but the 1st 50 people who get them will be getting an added surprise with theirs...
Levi Got Married
Levi Kimsey and his brothers may be the most loyal listeners I have. They have a cabinet making business in Georgia. They used to listen to my podcasts every week and they used to call me back when I first signed on with SIRIUS Satellite Radio in 2005. They followed me to XM when I signed up with them and now they're still calling me after 5 years.
They are pretty famous cabinet makers. In fact they make some of the best cabinets in the whole world. They're known as "Kimsey Cabinets". I had them come to my house here in Nashville and put in all my cabinets. Smart move on my part. And those boys love good Bluegrass too.
Well, a little bit before Christmas Levi married his beloved sweetheart. He's a lucky, lucky man. So here are some pictures of the wedding. The two gentleman at the bottom on the right are her Preacher and his Preacher. That little thing on the bottom left might be the sweetest little thing I've ever seen. I'm not sure what that is a picture of at the top in the middle. It looks like a giant possum's nose. Or maybe a ham they had at the reception. What ever it is, it isn't human. Congratulations to you all, Levi. I am so happy for you both. Tell your brothers I said to be good.

The Commode Seat Winner, Steve Whitehouse!
Here's Steve Whitehouse, the winner of the best prize I ever gave away; a commode seat with my face on it. The contestants called and left their best imitation of me and the Grand Prize Winner would receive the coveted commode seat. Here's a picture of Steve moments after the Grand Prize was delivered to his home in Bristow, Oklahoma, his face teaming with excitement. What a wonderful accomplishment this must be for him. Mitchell as a Baby
I am constantly getting emails and calls about pictures of Mitchell when he was just a baby. His little brother moved to Louisa, KY when he was 1 1/2. They were so cute when they were little. I just got the OK for him to be in the studio with me again during the shows. He couldn't come in there for 2 months because he kept throwing his poop. His birthday is August 6th. He'll be 5 years old.

Citizens, The City of Bluegrass asks you to Vote on "More Bluegrass" Law
As Mayor of Bluegrass it is my goal to keep each citizen as happy as possible by providing them with the most Bluegrass music a human can possibly listen to each and every minute of every hour of every day.
Therefore, as an appendage to the More Bluegrass Law I will also take into consideration the want of more banjos, mandolins or fiddles in one's Bluegrass music diet. If the More Bluegrass Law passes, more of the instrument most voted for on the ballot below will be mandatory for any and all Bluegrass recordings played in our Wonderful City.
I will do everything in my power to make this, the More Bluegrass Law, pass for our great City. Please read the new law and vote below.
THE MORE BLUEGRASS LAW
PART 1 Section A: Music played in public, public buildings, public transportation,
Pickin' parties, dentist and doctor's offices, hair dresser and barber
shops, grocery stores, ice cream trucks and restaurants must contain all of, and in some cases more than 1 of, the following 6 instruments: Banjo - Acoustic Guitar - Mandolin - Fiddle - Dobro - Stand Up Bass.
PART 2 Section B: Vocals must be sung 70% or more through the nose and the vocalist's hair must be done "The Bluegrass Way" (See Bobby Osborne, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Monroe, Mac Wiseman and Buck White). If the hair does NOT fit this description, vocalist must wear a Bluegrass/Cowboy hat (See Ronnie Reno, Jimmy Martin, Lester Flatt, Bobby Osborne again or Marty Stuart from the early days). In each of these cases the hair was done "The Bluegrass Way" creating the potent combination of Bluegrass hair and a Bluegrass hat. #%$! fire boys that's mighty strong.
PART 3 Section C: Women of Bluegrass can wear and do their hair ever what way they want to because we love them and think they're pretty and look Bluegrassy no matter what they wear or how they sing and must be shown the utmost respect and addressed as "Ma'am" as in "Yes, Ma'am" and "No, Ma'am" etc. And they don't have to sing through their nose neither. (Like many of our male citizens The Mayor of Bluegrass is married and cannot cook. Not even a little bit).

The Grand Old Time Machine is added to Tuesday's Line Up!!!!
Wichita's hit SIRIUS/XM show "The Grand Old Time Machine" has gotten too big to air only on Fridays and Saturdays so its been added to Tuesday afternoons at 3 Eastern starting next Tuesday. "The regular show times won't change." says Wichita "There's just been so much hoo-hah since I moved to Friday evening instead of Friday afternoon from the hardcore GOTM listeners who like a little humor at work during the day that the show was added to Tuesday afternoon." If you're an rabid Wichita fan who listens on Fridays at 9pm Eastern or Saturday nights at 12 Eastern, don't panic nothing has changed. (Next Tuesday, the 14th, the show will be on at 3pm Eastern.)
